hello everybody, i have read the expression of IK from Dan’s website, it is very useful, however it is a 2D movement, is it possible to have 3D IK expression that can work in AE?

    thanks

Probably. However, I haven’t seen a good algorithm anywhere that I was tempted to try and implement in AE’s expression language. The built-in angular constraints of 2D make the math relatively simple – I suspect 3D would be a little messy.

Although I have to admit I had the same thought about 3D IK when I read your awesome little article on IK =) I’m going to sit down someday with some graph paper, a pen, protractor, and pot of coffee and work the whole thing out (say in three years…)

thanks for everybody, i wish 3D IK can be available in AE on someday.
    thanks again
