I changed to Vegas Pro 12 to be able to use the 3D capabilities.
From a cheap 3D camera that produces H.264 format video, I can’t load the files into Vegas Pro 12. They need converting. Using the software provided with the camera, the files will load as m2t, taking a minute for any length, and subsequently not playing without crashing Vegas.

At the advice of John Rofrano I converted the file to M-JPEG. This will load onto the timeline in a matter of seconds and will play, but the quality is abonimable when compared to playing the file straight into Windows Media Player without any conversion.

What I don’t understand is why the footage won’t play as m2t on the timeline. Nor do I understand why with M-JPEG codec I can’t change the properties to double NTSC and get the proper hight/width ratio. With m2t Vegas recognized it as double NTSC and adaptation to the frame ratio was possible. Not so with the M-JPEG codec.

In Vegas Pro 12 you can indicate what kind of stereo you are using: side by side, on top of each other, colour-separated an such. None of these settings will produce a single frame in my preview window: I keep getting both left and right side by side, or even four times the image. How do I render this to anaglyph separation after editing?

    Hope someone can help.

Finally have the stereo image I want in de preview window. But still no clue as to why m2ts won’t play when it is sitting there on the timeline. Nor why my sound is outof sync when converted to m-jpeg.
