3D Extruded Text or any BORIS 3D effect crashing AE5.5
Follow these steps for a saved BCC 3D objects project:
Turn ON Caps Lock
Open existing AE CS5(.5)project
when OpenGL report window appears, ignore it…
turn off caps lock
It should be functional at this point.
RAM previews may not work, but SPACE bar will. Be sure to save project before closing as AE will most likely crash.
New projects will usually work until saved and closed.Use this workaround for projects wit BORIS 3D objects.

Thank you for your help Mr. Gordon. I have been trying to get this to work with Boris support for about 2 weeks. I will let them know. I was told that Version 8 is coming out and that does not have the problem.

They already know, believe me. I’d like to know though if this helped you. Also, what are your syste, specifics? I am using a Core i7-2600k, Nvidia GTX470 1G, 16G DDR-3 and am interested in what machines BCC fails on.Thanks,
