3840×2160 23.98 ProRes HQ realtime in PP — Mac Can 12-core ??
Hey Folks,
Wondering if anyone has been able to play in realtime a UHD 3840×2160 ProRes HQ in realtime on a 2013 Mac Can, 12-core, 32GB, dual d700. Storage is a Stornext SAN that can easily sustain 1.3 GBs per client. I have no issues playing 4K 16-bit TIFF and DPX sequences on the same storage from Resolve and ColorFront. Is this a CPU limitation? It’s strange I can play 4K R3D’s in Resolve at full quality on the same system. I know that’s doing GPU debayer.

It should play it fine. Which codec? What else is on the same timeline?
