  3/4 inch Intensity Pro capture

  Hello,

  I’m trying to capture some old 3/4 inch tapes with my Intensity Pro card and happen to be encountering a glitch. On some edits I will get a couple black frames in the capture that are not on the tape. I’m guessing this might have something to do with not having a reference signal, or how the edit was laid down on the tape. Like the first field of the cut is an odd field on the edit so the card doesn’t lock on the video. I don’t even know if that’s possible, but it crossed my mind. It doesn’t happen every cut, but on the ones it does happen, it’s 100% consistent. And I’ve tried capturing in both Final Cut and Premiere and it’s the exact same outcome. Is this typical? I assume it probably wouldn’t happen with a Decklink Studio card, but I don’t have one.
