32gig SxS Card Unmounts When Trying to Copy or Transcode
I have a 32gig SxS card shot on an EX3 that whenever I try to copy the card directly using Finder, or try to transcode the footage in either Avid or FCP 7 will unmount itself when it gets to a certain clip (which is about 12 mins in length).
Using Avid, I was able to AMA link directly to the card and transcode every clip except the one thats giving me problems. It will play fine AMA linked, but obviously this isn’t a solution.
I’ve tried the card on three different Mac OSX systems (two mid-2010 MacPro towers and 1 2013 iMac) and each gave me the same problem. Previously I’ve used a NextoDi to copy the card, then copy from the NextoDi, in order to fix a corrupted card, but unfortunately i do not have access to one now.
Any suggestions on something else to try?
