Hello! I have an EXR Sequence from Octane that I’m working on in AE. I’m working in 32bpc. I’m getting wildly different results rendering than in preview. See attached image:

My only lead is that in these areas where the colour changes to purple, I’m getting intense values in the red channel, 24.000 in someplaces, as the clipping in the scope shows. Why is my preview showing a nice image but not the renderer? Is this a tonemapping thing?

How should the render settings be configured to turn the linearized workspace into a 16bit file?

I’m new to linear workflow so there could be a simple solution to this. Thanks!

Can you tell us a little more about your workflow? What format are you rendering to? How are you evaluating the render? Do you have any color management enabled? What system will use these renders, and for what purpose? Do you have any deliverable specs that you need to meet?
