30p offline project
Just double checking that for sony 30p material I should be working in an offline 30i project. Dont have the space on the isis to work in 1080p/29.97. Shooting on the F3.

I would recommend that you use the 1080p/29.97 project set, and transcode to DNx45.
I do not know if doing everything inside a 30i project will mess anything up later…

By the facility I am currently at, we are not allocated enough space for DNx45. It needs to be a resolution more along 20:1, and 30i is the only SD project setting at 29.97.

Can you modify the SD project settings to set the field order to “none” and specify square pixels as well? I’m not sure if DNxHD allows you to do that but if you have access to any of the old DV NTSC codecs you can. I know you can using the ProRes Proxy codec if you have access to that. DV NTSC format would be closer to the data rate you’ve specified, however.
