    Hey guys,

I have a 30 sec commercial that I rendered as a Quicktime 6 (.mov) file and I need to upload it to a tv station’s FTP site. The problem is that it rendered out to be over 1GB and it will take over a day to upload. Quicktime is the only file type that they will accept. How can I get this down to around 20 or 30MB and still keep the quality?

Thanks and this is very time sensative!

Oh yeah…I’m editing on Vegas 6.

Render as a DV file in Quicktime, or at the least, an MJPEG file in Quicktime.
QT is just a wrapper. Sounds like you rendered an uncompressed file. What was the source format?

*Render as a DV file in Quicktime

How do I render it as a DV file?

The only thing that I know to do is to go to File/Render As…and then go to Save as type:, and select QuickTime6(.mov). I click on the Custom… button, but I couldn’t find anything related to setting it as a DV file.

The source format (my clips on the timeline) is in .avi and then I have some graphics from Digital Juice’s Editor’s Tool Kit.

    Thanks

Oooohhhhh……Thanks, I found it. So far, I can tell that my render time is going by a lot quicker, so maybe this will work.

    thanks!
