2X playback too fast to understand voice….
I’m transitioning from FCP, and always always end up listening to scripts, VO, etc in the 2nd play speed. Maybe 1.5x? Never paid attention to what it was, only that I can understand spoken words at that speed, sometimes even at the 2nd speed.
In PPRo, the 1st jump after 1x (2x?) is immediately almost too fast to understand even a slow speaker. Is there any way to adjust?

Hold the shift button and tap j or k to shift play speeds down or up in small increments.

Brilliant! Better than FCP.
Since I’ve got you on the phone, how about searching for all instances of a clip name (or subset of a name) in the timeline? eg, Find & Select all clips named “slide” in the timeline, then once all selected from the search result, paste effects onto all.
Can’t find a find command in timeline.
(I know… stupid FCP cutters…. lol)

Yes I love it in FCP and would love to see PPro gain this amazingly simple and timesaving feature.

You may want to try switching the sequence to “audio units” in the top right corner of the timeline panel. It changes the audio tracks in the timeline to be able to be cut/manipulated in samples or milliseconds, but also does change how the audio plays back on some systems.
2x might be more fluid then…
