    Hey,

Im starting on a spot in AE, that needs an output for Cinema(2k) and SD format.
I have chosen the 2k preset in AE, but made it widescreen: 2048*1108. (That ok by the specifications of the filmprint lab)

If if i put this in a PAL widescreen output(for render)comp, i simply need to scale it down and fit.
The only thing i am not sure about is the frame rate. Film is 24 fps, but SD PAl is 25 fps.
How do i deal with this, staying in AE to solve?

    Thx

You can choose an output frame rate in the render settings. After Effects can sample at different frame rates when rendering for final output. You get best results when the footage, composition, and output have the same frame rate, but you can certainly mix and match. The only risk is a loss in quality when After Effects interpolates between frames. Making sure that frame blending is on and set to Pixel Motion (highest quality) can mitigate this loss in quality.
