2k 25p output
Hi,
I have the feeling we the PAL users are allways unconfortable in a world dominated by the NTSC countries…Let’s face it, if 2048*1080 24P is available as an output option from FCP thru the Kona3… there should be no big deal in providing 25p too, right? (It’s just 4% more).
So far to watch our onlines we play the timeline to our TVLogic monitor using a 1080p25 output from the view options in FCP.
I’m sure if the Kona 3 handled the downconversion from 2k (our Red render’s frame size) to 1080 (what our 24″ is capable of displaying) the result would look much smoother.Any help on this regard or alternative workflows is really welcome!

Until the RED came along most 2K content was done for film based workflows that were only meant for 24fps playback.
all you need to do is change the frame rate in this setup and save it as a new setup with a new name.
That you had to create your own easy setup- welcome to 2K workflows- you will have to create most of your own settings.
