25P DVPAL anamorphic capture into FCP
Hi there,
I’ve shot some stuff on a Canon XL2 using the 25P option. The footage is DVPAL anamorphic. I’m setting up to capture the footage into FCP6 and see that there is no preset for this. There is a DVPAL 24@25 option but that’s all.
Anyone know what setting I should use to bring the footage in and why there is no preset for DVPAL 25P?
Any advice gratefully received.

Hi David,
I used to shoot 25p PAL with a Canon XM2. Just set your capture settings at DV PAL 48 kHz Anamorphic and that should do fine. Since PAL is natively 25 fps there’s no special settings needed beyond that.
