25fps mpeg with M&E track
Looking for some help here.
Im looking to turn my 29.97 programs with splilt tracks for stereo mix and M&E into- 25fps programs with the same split audio.
When I convert the show through compressor im gettin a file that plays both video/audio in quicktime and it plays great, but when I bring in the file to double check the audio in FCP, it just brings in the video track. (Im converting these programs to Mpeg w/ a program stream)
I want to be able to make sure i can hear the seperation in both tracks. track#1 stereo mix track#2 M&E.
any help would be much appreciated!

I don’t think compressor can do transport streams with multi channel audio, only stereo so it will mix the two stereo tracks. You might have to convert the audio separately and mux them all later.

yes, you’re right. I converted a video only FCP movie to 25fps in compressor then i converted the audio in FCP to 25fps. I then took both the exports and put them together through quicktime, making the perfect file.
