    This is a PAL question:

I`m working with 50p AVCHD clips.
I`m rendering them to AVI DV Widescreen 25 fps.

Then I`m making a new project with the PAL DV Widescreen template.

My question is about the Project properties:
Should I choose the Frame Rate: 25,000 (PAL)
    Or …
Frame Rate: 50,000 (Double PAL)? Based on that the original clips is 50p …

I would use a frame rate of “50.000 (Double PAL)” and change the Filed order to “None (Progressive scan)”. This will match your media. Alternately, just use the Match Media Settings button and it will set this up for you.

When I`m using the Match Media Settings button and navigate to the DV PAL file and selecting it, the Project Properties shows a Frame rate of 25,000 – not 50,000.

    Also …
I thought that if the videofile has a Frame rate of 25, the Project properties should also be 25.
I`m not going to replace the DV files with the original HD 50p files.

What PAL DV file are you talking about? You said that your source is AVCHD 50p. My answer was for editing AVCHD 50p source. If this is not what you’re doing then my answer doesn’t apply.

If you are planning to work with PAL DV they by all means just select the PAL DV template.
