    Hi gang –

I feel like this must have come up before but I’ve searched the forums and articles archives and had no luck.

    My issue is as follows:

I need to convert a 24p sequence (22 minutes long, but I will need to do the same thing for a longer seq at some point) to 30i. I found a guide on doing so here:

    https://www.zerocut.com/tech/24_30.html

But it seems a little dated and I haven’t had any luck with it.

I’m able to export the edl from EDL manager, and then re-import it as 30i, but when I save that 2nd edl and try to import it into Avid (Adrenaline running on XP) I am told that the file format is not supported.

I’ve been able to blunder through this process before for shorter seqs, but I’m having trouble with it tonight. Is there a hard and fast method for this?

    Thanks in advance

    Gabe

Well if anyone is interested, you open the seq in EDL manager, change the project type to 30i, and go to file>create composer sequence, and it will automatically dump the new seq into a bin of your choosing in Avid.

Why not recapture at 1:1 resolution and hit “play” You will get a nice 30i sequence out the analog/digital outputs with a continuous 2:3 pulldown cadence.

If not, the EDL conversion is the only way to go. See: https://www.24p.com/30_24.htm

It is for 30 to 24, but the steps are the same –
