Can anyone offer any suggestions how to output 24p Advanced (2332 pulldown) footage from FCP 5 so that I can create a smooth good quality DVD? The importing and editing phase has gone smoothly so far. I used the DV-NTSC 24p (23.98) Advanced Pulldown setting in the “Easy Setup” window. When I edited in a 23.98 sequence everything looked smooth. When I exported into quicktime and then imported with IDVD my final product strobed quite a bit. Are there some exporting settings that I should use? Thanks

Here is a great article on the subject by Graeme Nattress. It should help.

    Compress the file using Compressor..

And use DVDSP for better results

    No problem….

In DVD SP.. press F1 and it looks nearly identical to iDVD… as you grow past…. press F2 and F3 to access more advanced layouts.
