Anyone have any experience with it?

I am bidding out a project right now and am looking at all different kinds of ways to do it. eventually the end product is going to be shown on a 14K 16:9 DLP projector. The switcher that the staging company is using can handle whatever resolution you can through at it and spit out to whatever you want. It’ll up-convert, down-convert, 4:3, 16:9, SD, HD, whatever. Of course we would like to shoot/post in HD, but the video production part of the budget is of course, limited. One of the ways we were thinking is to shoot on the SDX 900 DVCPro 50 camera, edit natively in FCP through K2, and then up-convert on output.

Has anyone looked at DV50 footage through the K2 up-convert?

Will the K2 remove advanced pulldown through SDI, or do I have to digitize firewire?

    Any other suggestions out there?

    Thanks in advance.

    Jeremy
