24fps to 30fps in FCP
Hey,
I’m trying to figure out how to convert something in FCP 5 from 24fps to 30fps without having the motion on the screen messed up by the extra frames that are being added. does anybody have any suggestions or tips on how to do this?

The best way to do this is to let a video card, like a Kona 3 do it for you at teh end of the process. If you are needing to insert the 24P into a 30P sequence then youmight want to doa conversion of your footage with compressor.

thanks for the info…just wondering…what do i do when i get the footage into the compressor?

Set up a preset to convert 24 fps to 30 fps. Run all of the footage through that and then use that footage to edit with.
