Does anyone know when/if Final Cut will support 24f capture (i.e. realtime inverse telecine) via HDSDI from the Canon XLH1? I am hoping to use it with a Decklink HD card for hard disk capture at the shoots (probably DVCPROHD), and then be able to edit at 24 fps. Right now you could capture 24f to a 60i timeline, but your frame cadence would potentially get off every time you made an edit. I want to be able to cut at true 24fps. Anyone have any suggestions? Cinema Tools will only process up to a 9GB file, which in HD isn’t long enough for the stuff I’m working on. The 24f mode is really useless until there is a good workflow to get it in to Final Cut at 24fps. Thanks for nay help.
