  24@25 Juddering on monitor

  Hello,

  I am editing a film on FCP using the 24@25 way. Everything appears to be fine except on my external monitor. It appears juddery whenever anything moves. I am using a Sony CRT monitor but a friend tells me that it was happening to him when he was using an HD 24fps capable monitor. Everything looks fine on the computer monitor. It also looks fine at 25fps before I conform the clips to 24 in Cinema Tools.

  I have tried switching the interlacing to progressive in the sequence settings but other than that I’m out of ideas. We are using AJA Kona 2 cards and the settings for that doesn’t appear to make much of a difference either.

  Has anybody else come across this weird juddering effect? If you have, please let me know!!
