23.98 to my lowly TV no problem?
Hi guys. I’ve been a 29.97 guy my whole life so this is new to me. Is it true that with a Kona Le and FCP 5 or 6 that we can have a pure 23.98 project and just view it fine on either our prosumer SDTV or HDTV? FCP and Kona add the pulldown on the fly? And it looks good?
I was worried that we HAD to have one of those production monitors with 24p support.

It does a pure 3:2 pulldown. no problems whatsoever. looks NICE… will even do it with 23.98fps HD down converted to NTSC

Thanks so much. This is great news. My producer wants to stay in pure 24p world no matter what and I would miss looking at a real broadcast monitor or TV if this couldn’t be done.
