23″ ACD – to repair or not to repair?

Well,
To think I paid 1600 bucks for my 23″ ACD, what, 5 years ago and it’s (knock on wood) still working? Thankfully, it doesn’t have that hateful brick. But, it sits along side my 24″ Samsung which only cost about $350, and frankly, I use it more than the ACD. It doesn’t have the component inputs like the Dell, but hell, it’s a great monitor of the price.

Frankly, all those inputs on the Dell are actually a pain in the butt much of the time, because they hardly ever get used, and it makes switching to the ones that are used more tedious.

Not to doubt you BUT, actually, they are sent back to China where they are recycled. Apple does not dump electronics in Waste Fills.
In fact, Most consumer electronics bigger than a breadbox are terminated this way- If I may use that term.
The unusable, un-recyclable components do remain in the Chinese dumps though.
