2 x ? about DVCPROHD, animation codec, and rendering
hi again
1. I am doing a project that involves handing off some shots that are at dvcprohd to a Wintel animator/graphics guy. now his pc cant see my DV50 clips (no codec) so i was going to givr him clips using QT Animation. I am concerned that when i export this stuff he will see it in the correct aspect ratio. is the pix aspect ration of the dvchd different than animation? or does animation follow the p.a.r. of whatever materila you are coming from?
2. This has little realtion to the above question, but i wondered about this anyway: in order for fcp to present your footage in real time, your sequence must match your footage. so a bunch of dv50 footage needs to be cut into a dv50 sequence. but what about the compressor setting in the sequence settings? if i do a bunch of nests and exports and such at dv50, arent i degrading the footaage? and if so how can you have a dv50 sequence, but with uncompressed rendering to avoid any loss?
thanx for your help
