    Hi guys

    First questions:

Does anyone know the easiest way to create a face out of type or pattern elements in AE?

The elements need to be constantly moving, and are not confined to the image shape so there
    are no hard edges.

So the type can fly in form a face(that needs to be talking, not just a still) then move off screen again in all different directions

    Second question:

Ive done this before but have forgot how, if you have a audio file and you match it to a graphic on screen
that moves to the sound so it moves like a graphic equalizer.

    thanks heaps

I have seen this first question asked before and for the life of me can’t remember the solution. I think there is a javascript way of producing ASCII code cartoons from video. From there, you’d need to screen capture with a piece of software like ScreenFlash or Camtasia.

For your second point – there’s a tutorial here at the Calf/Cow about crrating an audio meter by Talid Al Khatib which is hopefully what you’re looking for.

    Hope that helps
