  2 Macs on 10.6.8, no eSAT, no Thurdenbolt, what to do?

  Hi Guys,

  I’ve tried reading all the posts in the search for an answer to our problem but I fail to see how to solve this.

  Basically, we are two editors on two macs needing to share media badly without clogging each other’s machine playback. Right now we have a bunch of external hard drives connected to our computer with firewire 800 and shared through Ethernet. Obviously this was a temporary set-up as is anything but ideal. We don’t do hi-end stuff, mostly XDCAM EX 1080i50 35mb type of edits.

  What would would guys recommend as an affordable set-up to our situation and needs?

  Any help would be very appreciated, regards.
