2 frame Flicker on Depth-of Field blurs in animation – R11.5
Hey guys, I’m having issues with renders of a scene containing a depth-of-field blur applied to both front and rear. The flicker occurs whenever the mid-ground object (the one in focus)comes between the camera and the background object. But it only occurs where a light has about 50% falloff. It does not occur when there is no D.O.F. blurring.
I’ve adjusted ray threshold and depth, shadow depth (because maybe the mid-ground object was blocking rays?)
I’ve used different types and strengths of AA.
The error is reduced, but not eliminated, when gradients are used in the D.O.F. settings.
D.O.F blur settings below 4% don’t show the error, but also not much effect.Any ideas? Thanks.
