1920 x 1080 export with multiple channels of audio

I would have to disagree. You can setup a 1920×1080 sequence in ProRes. What codec are you working in?

Hi Jeremy. I didn’t know I can set up my sequence in 1080p. The footage was shot in DVCpro 720p60. So if I set my sequence to apple pro res than I can export in 1080p. Is that correct? Thanks.

Whoa. This is different. What exactly do you have to deliver?

I need to deliver a quicktime in 1080p with 4 channels of audio.

You can compressor to cross convert. Make sure to set the frame rate as custom and 23.976 (not 23.98).

If you have a Kona, it will cross convert in real time from 720p23.976 to 1080sf23.976.

You can have 4, 8, 12, 16 channels in QuickTime out of FCP. Broadcasters have begun taking multiple-channel QuickTime ProResHQ 1080 files as submission now.

You need to set your sequence to have 4 channels. Then in sequence settings, go to the Audio output settings and set the sequence to 4 channels set as 2 stereo pairs or 2 dual mono pairs as needed.

Then, in the timeline, to the extreme left you can right-click and assign each track to it’s corresponding number output from the drop-down. Ch 1>1, Ch 2>2, Ch 3>3, Ch 4>4.

Now, when you do a File > Export > QuickTime, you will have a QuickTime movie with 4 audio tracks in it.
