    Hey everyone,

I’m a bit confused about 4k workflows and I need help! I edited a project in a 1920x 1080 setting on Avid. Now I would like to add new clips that have vfx, those are 4k clips. I linked them on avid but the picture is stretched after changing the project setting to 4k. I just want to know what am I doing wrong? Should I make a new 4k project?

Also we are coloring on resolve so I want my clips ready for an edl. Thank you!

Don’t change the project to 4K keep it 1080.
Use frame flex on tge new shots to cope with any aspect changes.
Are they true 4K or UHD? That’s important.
Send an AAF to resolve rather than an EDL.
Doesn’t sound like you have a tested workflow on place.

The clips are 4K, they’re raw clips that I exported from resolve. The images looks different from the proxies and I’m really confused to why thats happening.

Still pretty new to 4k workflow. I appreciate the help.
