180˚ Rotated Footage shows up in FCP Upside down?
Perhaps, this isn’t the right place to post this, but I didn’t see a “Quicktime” forum.
Why must this be so difficult??
I shot a bunch of footage on the EX1 + Redrock Micro M2. Of course, all of my footage is upside down. So with QuickTime Pro I can go into the visual settings of the footage and rotate 180˚. Plays find and dandy all right-side-up in QuickTime. I import the footage into Final Cut, and it’s upside down! What the deal is?
Anybody have a good solution to rotating footage? I know I can do it inside final cut, but that counts as an effect. Once I start adding other stuff to it – letterbox, color correction, venetting, etc. – I have to start rendering it! I’d rather not have my comp processing the upside footage while I’m editing.
Any suggestions?
