16×9 in a 4×3 Letterbox
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to export a video from FCP with the timecode generator filter off of the picture. So I’m trying to create a letterbox.
Our footage is DVCPRO50, so it’s 16×9. In FCP, it plays normally at 16×9. How can I export it (or change the settings) so that I can have a 4×3 frame with the 16×9 in a letterbox and the timecode over the black bars?

I create a 4×3 project and than import the 16×9 footage and when we drop the clip to timeline it asks for the match the timeline settings
to match clip click NO so it will be a 4×3 project with 16×9 footage letterboxed..
