I have a 16X9 Anamorphic sequence that plays fine out to a 16X9 monitor. Rather than saving it back to tape, I want to give it to another editor as a self-contained Quicktime file. But when I open the file in Quicktime it plays as a letterboxed 4X3 image. Also, if I drop it into a new 16X9 sequence, I get a reduced image with black bars on the top, bottom and sides. Does Quicktime not recognize anamorphic video?

When u export make sure your settings are the same as your timeline (Current settings) I think it says. Make self contained.
Then as a test, re-import the clip and drop it into your timeline. I think u’ll find – no prob. QT can act weird with sizes, I find.
