16:9 to DVD – play correctly on 16:9 sets and 4:3 sets
We are working on a 16:9 project. We know how to export it to a 4:3 DVD but are wondering if there is a way to make it play 16:9 correctly on a widescreen and 4:3 correctly on a 4:3 screen.

Are you using DVD Studio Pro? You set the widescreen display in the disc inspector.

I believe we used inspector as suggested but what happens is it plays correctly on a widescreen TV but cuts off the sides on a 4:3 TV. The DVD player needs to be manually set to play “letterbox”. How do we make this happen automatically?
