I am trying to export a 1440x1080i (HDV) timeline sequence to a web-friendly format. My client wishes to use YouTube to allow other users quick access to view the clip, and that site specifies a 320×240 size as the best viewing option. I set these specs up in the QuickTime setup when exporting to Quicktime, and the output file is squeezed. I wish to have a letterboxed image to preserve the widescreen aspect ratio of the sequence.

I’ve tried a bunch of file types in Compressor, and got the same results with all. How can I get the file size specified above with letterbox?

    THANKS!

Thanks for the advice. It worked out really well.
What codec / compression choice would you recommend in Compressor for making what is otherwise a 2GB .mov file when uncompressed workable for streaming on sites such as YouTube.com?

    Thanks again,
    JB
