16:9 footage from AE displays wrong in FCP
Hi,
I’m making a animation in AE and i render the files as: PAL D1/DV Widescreen, 720×576
Pixel aspect ratio: PAL D1/DV Widescreen Frame aspect ratio: 16×9My sequence in FPC is: Frame size 720×576, AR: CCIR601 / DV PAL (5:4)
Pixel aspect ratio: PAL – CCIR601 Anamorphic 16:9
I have ticked the 16:9 option on in all footage files.Everything should be allright but its not. The FPC frame size is actually 1024×575 leaving black spaces both sides of the frame. I have tried everything to get this work. If i export the sequence the black spaces are there even if the export frame size is 720×576.
Where does the FCP get the 1024×576 frame size as it’s not selected anywhere?

I’m puzzled – Where are you getting this 1024×576 frame size from if your sequence is set to 720×576 anamorphic?

I took screenshot of the window in FCP and open it in photoshop, same from the rendered movie in QuickTime player.
I made a 1024×576 composition in AE and imported that to FCP and then it filled the screen and TV connected via firewire.
weird problem and very annoying since i have to deliver the project in 14hours for digibeta transfer.

Hmmm weird. Try selecting the AE clip in the timeline and going to Edit > Remove Attributes menu. Check the Basic Motion and Distort boxes (if you can) and hit OK. Does that fix it?
