    16:9 export wider than 16:9

    I taped in 16:9

    Captured the footage in 16:9

    Imported the 16:9 footage into Motion 3

    After the project I started having the issues.

    I select export

    Export: Quick Time

    Use: Current Project and Canvas Settings

    Then I select OPTIONS:

    In the video selection I click Advanced

    Compression Type: DV/DVCPRO – NTSC

    Aspect Ratio: 16:9

    After I export the footage and then import it into my FCP project, I notice that the footage is slightly broader than the 16:9 original footage.

    Hard to explain in text. Imagine two pieces of 16:9 paper on top of each other, and the exported one has been stretched out just a tad more to be bigger or wider.

    Can somebody advise me what I am doing wrong?

    Using Motion 3.0.2 , FCP 6.0.5

    NTSC Broadcast SD is also the setting I am using when I open up the project.

    I’m taping in 16:9 using the DV setting on my JVC GY HD110

    Sorry .. I figure too much info is better than not enough info.
