16:9 export for YOUTUBE issue
hello,
I have a short video that I have edited in FCP 6 to my liking. It was shot on an HVX-200 camera with p2 card. the image is 960×720. When I export this to quicktime to load it onto youtube, however, the image becomes squished down into 4:3 without constraining the proportions. I have since been told that 960×720 is truly 1280×720 so I need to put the seuqnece into a new timeline to accomplish this. Does anyone know how I can do this without having to re-import the footage? what are the steps?I have also tried simply resizing it in quicktime, which works as a quicktime file, however, when i load it onto youtube it still becomes squished.
Does anyone have an answer to this dilemma? Perhaps i need to crop the image in FCP? if so how?
Any/all help is appreciated, and thank you in advance.
Seth
