I have a Final Cut project which I have assembled from .mov video clips. The clips are 16:9 (640×360), but when I render them they show up in the canvas with black bars above and below, even though I have the sequence settings set to 640×360. When I export I get a video in 2:1 aspect ratio with black bars.

What import/export & sequence settings ought I be using in order to work with 640×360 .mov files without getting any black bars? Is this possible?

    [Zach Young] “16:9 (640×360)”
That is not a proper editing resolution, it is what SD 16:9 is converted to for square web resolution.

It needs to be enlarged to fit into a sequence with the setting of 720×480 anamorphic in FCP pro
