16:9 and 4:3
Dear Guys,
I have a question about a Format between, 16:9 and 4:3, I have a Move wwitch is 15 min long. Now i want it in 4:3, how is this possible with final cut pro 3?
Is ist correct to skale it down off 75 % or is there any other way to do this?

Aspect ratio “Distort” in the Motion tab. Letterbox/ Anamorphic, etc., etc.

No, it’s 33% down on the y-axis. Load your footage into the viewer, go over to the motion tab. In the distort pull down change the aspect ratio to -33. That will give you a 4×3 letterbox.
