    Hi,

I’ve nearly finished editing a short film on FCP7 with footage from a Blackmagic cinema camera.
The footage has looked great in the Canvas window through the whole edit.

Ive only just created a new sequence and allowed Final cut to auto match the sequence to the clip settings.

My original sequence is 1440×1080 (HD 1440×1080. UPPER ODD), this new auto matched sequence is 1920×1080 (SQUARE/NONE).
The footage in the 1920×1080 sequence looks as right as it does in the 1440 sequence.

I’ve tried changing the settings from 1440 to 1920 and to square and get a squashy picture, I’ve also tried exporting an XML and loading it in a new sequence or project with no luck (I get the same 1440 aspect ratio)

Any ideas on how to change this without re-editing/inserting the whole lot?

Thanks to all the contributors for the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

    George

Looks like the clips had distort in motion at 33%. Changing it to 0% did the trick.

    Regards,

Select all the stuff in the sequence (1920×1080), and left-click > Remove Attributes: Basic Motion + Distort.
