1280x720x12, 59.940 fps to explain
My Panasonic ZS3 outputs files in AVCHD Lite and in Motion JPEG.
After loading in Vegas MS 10.0, I am getting in video properties:1280x720x12, 59.940fps progressive – for AVCHD Lite, and
1280x720x24, 30.000fps progressive – for Motion JPEG.What is the meaning of the “x12” and “x24” above?
Is that the actual frame rate the camera was using, and the 59.940 and 30.000 are the frame rate the camera is outputing?If that is the case, the “x12” is actually a very low rate. It has to be very choppy for sports or other fast moving content.
I have most of my clips in Motion JPEG. What whould be the best setting for the project in the Studio?

12-bit color depth and 24-bit color depth.
The 12-bit would allow 4 bits for each of RGB while the 24-bit will allow 8 bits for each of RGB.

It seems to me that Motion JPEG, then, gives me a better picture, unless it is a fast changing content, in which case AVCHD with its 60 fps would shine. Does it not?
