12-bit Audio output while capturing DV
I just bought a little 3CCD Panasonic camcorder (PV-GS320) to use for capturing tapes shot on pro cameras to Final Cut Pro for editing. Unfortunately, I’m getting a notice saying that the “…audio sample rate does not match the sample rate on your source tape… may cause the video and audio to be out of synch….” It turns out the camcorder can be set to record 16-bit audio but it can only output 12-bit through the firewire.
I was wondering if anyone in the forum had any experience with this and could tell me if it’s worth even worrying about.
Appreciate your help – Rick
