1080p60 ProRes HQ single stream using 98% of 12-core xeon
I’m working on a project which has footage recorded as 1080p60 ProRes HQ, and when I import into Premiere 2018 and play a single stream back in the viewer or canvas, it’s using up 98% of my available CPU, which is a 12-core xeon (24 w/ virtuals). Running latest Windows 10, RAID-5, 128GB RAM, 1080, CUDA enabled.
This doesn’t seem right. In Resolve 15 when I playback the same clip it’s only using 18%.
Edit: Forgot to mention it’s UHD resolution.
