I record 1080p videos, edit them, and render them to 1080p.

After rendering the usual size is bigger, so i convert the avi file to mp4 via freemake video converter.

I recheck the properties, clearly mentioning 1920×1080.

Now uploading, on YT i see that after even 24 hours later, it’s showing 720p maxed.

Is it normal or i m missing any step?

YouTube can sense your internet connection speed and may be limiting you to 720p accordingly. Am I 100% certain that is what you’re experiencing? No!

Also why aren’t exporting it straight from Premiere using the H264 Youtube presets?

Well, you are right. Checking the uploaded video over desktop now shows 1080p while on android and apple device still shows 720p as maxed.

I’m gonna be on the road tomorrow, and out of Internet range for the weekend, so anyone trying to stump me had best get those questions coming soon… 🙂
