1080p 23.98 AVID Symphony project questions
Source was shot HDCam 1080p 23.98 – delivery HDCam 1080p 23.98
I have a couple questions…
1. 1080p 23.976 project settings correct?
2. Symphony barks that the Sony HDCam F500 doesn’t support 24 so
I select the F500 24 in deck config manually … correct?I see more pulldown (jitter) in the captured media when I crossconvert in the video output tool for viewing. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? I thought it would be smoother.
Deck shows 23.98psf, trilevel is set 1080 23.98sf as per Symph help file.Thanks

Deck should be set to 23.976 for a 23.976 project and 24 for a 24p project. I am assuming you are in an HD project on the Symphony. Playback should not have jitter during playback when adding 2:3 pulldown on the output.

The HDW F500 does not have a 23.976 only 23.98, 24p, 59.94 I was under the impression that 23.98 was a round up for 23.976. At 24 the audio would not be 48K the digital audio recorded in the field was 48k. What frame rate should I be using in AVID for HDCam 1080p 23.98?
