1080i… Upper Field First?
Hey…
I usually do all of my work in NTSC DV, 720 x 480, (0.9), Lower Field First…
I’m doing a little HD test, just to try it, as I’ve never done anything HD before. I made my 1920 x 1080 29.97 Animation in After Effects, and Rendered it out as a 10-bit AVI, because I don’t trust AE’s MPEG encoder. I decided I’m going to do that part in PP2. But I’m setting up the project, and I chose the ‘Adobe HD-SDI 1080i’ setting, and then I saw that it says upper field first. Is it supposed to be like that? I had no idea that HD in America was supposed to be Upper Field First… Am I supposed to change that? And if it’s right, then will the fact that I rendered my animation out in Lower field first mess things up? Should I re-render that?
Thanks,
Ben Tubb
