    Hi Damon

Blackmagic Design provide constant driver updates to bring verified compatibility, and optimal performance with the latest versions of Operating Systems and compatible programs.

For the Mac, this will almost certainly provide certified compatibility with the latest versions of OSX and Quicktime, as we work closely with Apple to ensure

I’m sorry that I cannot provide you an estimate of when the next driver release will arrive, but i can assure you we always have new things in the pipeline. Incidently, one of my test Macs here is running your configuration quite happily with the latest Blackmagic drivers, so i do not envisage you having any drastic problems!

I am running the same setup at present on a dual 2.8 Xeon Quad core Mac Pro running a Decklink 2 with the 6.7.2 drivers.

However, when I capture uncompressed 10-bit HD using the Blackmagic preset, the footage requires rendering when dropped onto the timeline.

Have have tried the same preset on a slightly older system running the same drivers and 6.0.3 version of FCP and this is fine, so I have a feeling that it may be linked to the 6.0.4.

Can anyone else confirm that they have tried this configuration and preset and got it to work successfully with the Blackmagic 1080i 50 10-bit uncompressed preset?

    Regards
    Sam

We are having problem using the latest system update OS 10.5.4, decklink 6.7.2, and Final Cut Pro 6.0.4. the video freezes on playback using the preset of blackmagic 720P 8 bit using the blackmagic 8 bit 2 Yuv using a 30 terabyte SAN for RAIDs. The update as renders the application useless as far as mastering to tape or customer preview. Just my post for OB..

    We have the same problem.

New Mac pro (V3.1) QT 7.5, Mac osx-10.5.4, Nvidia 8800 GST Apple Fibercard.

First I found that the Declink has a hardware conflict when fitted in slot 3 (X4), It disabled the Fiber card in slot 4 (X4), but works fine in slot 2 (X16)

Capture of HD 1080i uncompressed YUV needs render when placing on the timeline. with FCP 6.0.3 and 6.0.4

Apparently this feature works fine in FCP 6.0.1 and 6.0.2.

Also have KONA3 card installed in same system with same behaviour, exect it has no hardware conflict in slot 3
