Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro 10.3 Multicam performance issues

Just upgraded to 10.3, and worked on an Multicam project. Performance has not been good. While playing the Multicam clip, the video stutters and freezes badly, and the audio has pops in it. With this kind of performance, I can’t use Multicam editing. Anyone else noticed this? Any suggestions. BTW… just upgraded to Sierra.

In the past, I would restart, or I used Onyx to repair permissions (can’t do this anymore in Sierra). But those steps don’t work.

    Any ideas?

I shot it with a Canon 305 video camera. The files are mxf 720p. Good thought, I could experiment with proxy files or pro Rez?

Noah, your post was very helpful. I transcoded the media to proxy, and did a test using that (not my normal workflow). Everything seems to work smooth as silk. I didn’t have this much trouble before the upgrade, but i did have some problems that I just worked through. I will use the proxy workflow in the future, and see howI like it. I’m sure I will. Thanks again for giving my brain a kick start!
