    Hello,

So I am stumped. I have to put advertisement before a movie. The trailer for our company has to be first. This trailer is 1024X576 PAL and has to stay this way otherwise it looks compressed and bad. The advertisement is 720X576 PAL and the movie is the same. When I make the advertisement 1024 X 576 PAL it is stretched naturally and looks terrible. I just need to have two different sizes in the overall movie for the companies trailer and then for the advertisement and movie and I don’t know how to achieve this. Is this possible? the two bosses responsible for this don’t know anything about this and I need an alternative.

    Please help.

    Thank you.

I’m guessing the reason the ad looks stretched when you change it from 720×576 to 1024×576 is that you also need to change the aspect ratio. 720×576 pal widescreen has an aspect ratio of 1:422 and 1024×576 has an aspect ratio of 1:1 (square pixels).

So change the ad (and the movie) from 740×576 (1.422) to 1042×576 (1:1) and you should be fine. Or change the trailer from 1024×576 (1:1) to 720×576 (1:422), saving yourself a little time 🙂

    Hope this helps.
