10.1.4 just a day too late
I have a friend who shot several cards of footage with his Canon XF100 camera. He didn’t remember to put each card into it’s own folder to maintain the folder structure, and just dumped all the cards onto the root of his hd, so I don’t have the little index file that allows FCPX to recognize the media.
I just purchased EditReady from Divergent so I can rewrap the canon MXF files to quicktime and edit the material. I bought it yesterday.
Now I don’t need it.
Now if fcpx could read the m2t files from my Sony HVR Z7U.
I’m very happy about the mxf ability. Our sony server at work uses mxf files, so this makes life much easier. I don’t need to go through Sony’s xdccm transfer software, or pay $900 for their cinémon plug in.
FCPX just keeps getting better and better.
I still have a long wishlist of future improvements, but this nailed a big one for me.
BTW… I have nothing but praise for Divergent Media. I’ve used Clipwrap since FCPX came out, and it works great. EditReady likewise works fast and well, and their support was outstanding. When I had a small problem with my rewraps, they actually tweaked the software and sent me a new build!
